Conditions of participation
Any registered and unregistered user of PhotoRush.com who confirms that he/she is a physical person, who has reached the permissible minimum age when he/she can participate in the activities of such kind in a country of his/her residence, and also that such activities in a corresponding country are not restricted or prohibited, can participate in daily photo contest. If such activities are limited or prohibited in the country of user, the user is solely responsible for participation in the activities and for non-compliance of regulations of the corresponding State.
It is permissible to use photo editing software for optimizing images only in order to change the tone, color corrections and cropping. Other manipulations or compositions are prohibited, except as otherwise specified in the description of a specific contest. In the case of failure to observe the conditions of image optimization, a photo will not be approved for participation in the contest. Possible reasons why your photo wasn`t approved for participation in a photo contest.
Participation in the daily contest is free of charge.

Time of carrying out
A photo contest is carried out daily, except for the last day of each month. A complete cycle of one daily contest is 3 calendar days:
- Day 1 – announcement of contest category
- Day 2 – submission of photos
- Day 3 – voting for submitted photos
A daily contest is not carried out on the last day of each month. Instead, there will be a monthly contest to choose the best photo of all daily contest winners of the current month.

Photo contest categories
There are twelve photo contest categories.
The category of a photo contest changes daily. Every day a photo contest will be held in one specific contest category.
The users of www.photorush.com can propose categories for a daily photo contest by e-mailing them to our entry staff at contests@photorush.com. The most interesting categories may be chosen for a daily photo contest category.

Photo submission to the contest
In order to participate, it is necessary to submit a photo taken by you that is relevant to the specified category of the daily photo contest stated at the time of its submission. Photo submission forms for the contest are different for registered and unregistered users.
When an unregistered user submits a photo to a daily contest, this user fills out a submission form and becomes a registered user of PhotoRush.com. The system automatically creates a user profile, which will be activated after the user`s first "Sign in” to PhotoRush.com. All of the necessary information for „Sign in” will be sent to the email address that the user has specified in the photo submission form.
All registered users should Sign in before submitting a photo to the contest.
The same photo cannot be submitted to both daily and weekly contests at the same time.
A previously submitted or winning photo of a daily/monthly photo contest can be submitted to a weekly photo contest.
A previously winning photo of a daily photo contest cannot be submitted to subsequent daily photo contests.
Daily photo contest winner and first two runner-ups can not participate in Daily photo contest within next 3 days after they won a contest.
A previously winning photo of a weekly photo contest can not be submitted to a daily photo contest.
Submitted photo dimensions must be at least 800 pixels on a long side.
A photo previously submitted to a weekly photo contest that did not win, can be submitted to a daily photo contest. A copyright of the photos involved in a contest must belong explicitly to the contest participant. Only one submitted photo is permitted for each participant in the daily contest.
Photo submission for a contest begins at 00:00 GMT and ends at 23:59 GMT (Day 2).

Voting
Voting in a daily contest is free of charge.
Voting begins at 00:00 GMT and ends at 23:59 GMT (Day 3).
To vote for the photo you like, you have to click on the voting button under the photo.
Only one vote per photo is allowed.
Voting for the best photo of the month among the winners of a daily contest is based on the principle of daily photo contest.

Definition of winners
A photo which received the most votes wins.
In case the number of votes coincides with two or more photos, then the system will randomly choose the winner.

Announcement of results
The top three photos which received the most votes in a daily photo contest, (taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd places) are determined every day.
A daily contest is not carried out on the last day of each month, but the voting for the three best photos of the current month among the winners of the daily contest (which received 1st, 2nd and 3rd place) is carried out.

Number of participants
In order to begin the voting phase of a daily photo contest, a minimum number of 10 photos to the particular contest must be submitted.
If the number of submitted photos to the current daily contest hasn`t reached the minimal limit within one day, then the submission phase of the current daily photo contest is prolonged for one more day, and voting phase in this contest will follow accordingly.
If the number of submitted photos to the current daily contest hasn`t reached the minimal limit within two days, then the voting phase in this particular photo contest will commense by the third day regardless of the lack of submitted photos.
Maximum number of photos in contest is unlimited.
