Insects and their tiny environments offer the macro photographer an unlimited amount of color, texture, and physical architecture to explore. They are as unique as we are, and they are obviously much more plentiful. All kinds of bugs, spiders and other insects are welcome to this photo contest. |

Fireworks are something that evoke a lot of emotion in people as they are not only beautiful and spectacular to watch but they also are often used to celebrate momentous occasions. Just remember, when shooting fireworks keeping steady is key. |

Architectural photography of the man-made landscapes is not only about capturing the strength and authority of huge structures, it is more about portraying the beauty and craftsmanship of the beautiful buildings. You don’t need to go out hunting for beautiful buildings, instead you just need an observing eye to make the most from the architectures and structures surrounding you. |

What is sweeter than recently born kittens, puppies, or other newborn animals? You can become enamored with the way the mother cares for her newly prized young, how they help them to grow, how they teach correct behavior and self-defense. |

Here is another complicated theme. It seems to be no big deal to photograph money, but there is one nuance here - put yourself in a place of a viewer. What would the viewer want to see in a photo? |

Thanks to modern architecture that favours glass and steel over bricks and mortar cities are full of reflections which give us an alternative way to photograph the places we live in. Reflections are a great way of making the ordinary look extraordinary too and items we see every day such as trees, colourful signs and lamp posts suddenly turn into an abstract image of wavy lines, shapes and colour. |

There are many different types of portraits: business, genre, self-portraits. The main focus of this challenge is the getting the image of a photographed person. It does not matter whether he/she is sitting motionless under the spotlight in a studio or he/she was caught unawares in the midst of a work. |

Before you start photographing your pet ask yourself what sets it apart from other animals?’ Think about what type of personality it has and then attempt to capture some of that in your shots. |

Motorcycle shows and rallies, where proud owners display their pride and joy, are great places for photographing rare or unusual bikes. Often they hide in garages or shops, only being brought out for special occasions. A great deal of effort goes into the presentation of many of these rides, and there are usually competitions awarding the best-presented exhibits. |
